It all began in October of 2013. I had just gotten married to my middle school sweetheart, a US Army officer, 3 months before and we were stationed at Fort Benning in Columbus, Georgia. I quickly learned that being an Army wife who wouldn't have a permanent residence anytime soon limited my career opportunities. However, I quickly decided I was going to do something about that. As I was flipping through an entrepreneur magazine, I came across a machine that made buttons. Buttons. I know, that's pretty random, BUT buttons are a cute, fun and inexpensive way to show your love and pride for something. I bought the button machine and began to design and hand make Army-themed pinback buttons. I listed my buttons on Etsy and got them in a few Army surplus stores in the Columbus area. I soon realized how much I loved having my own "thing" I could take with me and began to expand. I came to realize my love for design and began to expand. When we moved to Fort Richardson, Alaska in December of 2014, I was thrilled to be able to take my business and pick up right where I left off. Since my shop has opened, I have let my buyers dictate where my business is headed and have found my niche in special occasion labels. I wake up everyday in disbelief that I am working my dream job and succeeding! I am passionate about the products I create in my Etsy shop and hope you, as a buyer, feel that same passion in each individual product.
My shop name is inspired by my #1 sidekick, my golden retriever, Buddy.
